/ About the project

Secure Net is a service that protects families and customers from threats over Vodafone’s mobile network. Secure Net has 21 million active users and is available in 10 countries.

I worked in the A&R squad and the Product Squad for the Secure Net App. Our key goals/OKRs for the A&R squad were focussing around go-to-market initiatives (awareness), innovative propositions within the app (acquisition), and creating a more seamless user experience (retention).

/ CHALLENGES

With improvements in 5G technology, connected devices are drastically increasing as well as online threats. The need to stay safe online is higher than ever.

How might we increase customer engagement with the product and how can we humanise and simplify digital security for the family?


/ SOLUTION

We worked through many features of the app, incrementally improving performance, user experience, awareness, acquisition and retention.  Focussing on personas, user journeys, user flows, and detailed wireframes.

Such as: SecureNet Coach, Parental controls, In-app Articles, Running a Scan, Admins, Permissions, Notifications, Black/Whitelisting, Ratings and more.

/ RESULT

The product has gone on to incrementally improve in app store ratings, user retention and user experience.
