/ About the project
In 2017 moved to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam to join Lazada. I wanted to take on a new challenge in a vastly different culture and to build my experience of working at large organisations. Lazada is the equivalent of Amazon here in the UK. I wanted to apply my learnings from Hyper Island and help develop the design culture.
Working closely with the team leads and the business across Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore, I started to run workshops and develop design processes that ultimately drove the e-commerce platform to better conversion rates and new opportunities.
After a number of design thinking workshops and sprints, we helped the wider business find opportunities in new verticals, such as e-sports/e-gaming.
Day to day I led the visual UI side, with my UX counterpart, across design teams in Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore.

Working closely with stakeholders and the team to develop a new content strategy, a strong visual direction, new branding elements and guidelines, an engaging website, exciting new social content, shoot guidelines for designers /videographers and packaging designs.

The new website helped future investors, other businesses, a potential brand partnerships understand that Threads are a leading tech company pioneering the way in social/chat commerce. At the same time providing a window into the culture and personality of Threads Styling.
